Sintered diamond blades are a longer lasting blade compared to the notched rim. These blades are manufactured by embedding diamond grit directly into the metal matrix that forms the edge of the saw blade. Sintered blades are a better value than other blades because of their long life. The Thick Rim Black Blades are best for agate and geodes.

Sintered black blade

Seems to be cutting OK and was shipped promptly. I'll know more after I repair the power feed on my saw. It cut my petrified wood by hand pretty fast. The rating indicates my limited but happy use of the blade.
