Covington's 10" Trim Saws cut rocks, minerals and glass (we recommend using an ultimate glass blade when cutting glass on this saw). Trim saws feature Covington's unique "Koolerant Kontrol" valve which virtually eliminates splash. Valve "C" adjusts the flow from reservoir "A" into blade compartment "B" to maintain proper coolant levels. Excess coolant from cutting area returns to the reservoir. Twin drains allow easy cleaning of sump.
Covington's "Complete" unit includes power feed and a hood. Unit ships assembled with motor, operating instructions, and product guarantee. The hood ships separately.

Great Saw and well worth the money

Roger on 26th Feb 2024

I bought this saw and could easily buy another like it. For me it's an in between a trim saw and the larger rock saw with some features of the larger saw but still small enough to do the job. Pros: I love the automatic feed system and clamp that most smaller saws don't have. The 10" can cut most rocks and worse case you can flip the rock to finish many larger cuts but that becomes a bit tricky. This machine is quite sturdy and well built with a motor that's large enough for most cuts as long as you don't push the motor too hard. I have found you can hear when you over burden the motor so that shouldn't be a problem. Cons: I really wish the clamping system were larger as many of my rocks are not able to fit the arbor system and I do almost all my cuts by hand which lacks accuracy when cutting slabs. Second the knob to move the arbor in and out from the blade needs to be much larger. What I have found is over time and use the large screw system gets gritty and becomes more and more difficult to move with the small knob. The saw's builder has said some folks get window knobs to screw windows open and love them. I would hope the builders either give us that option or better yet give a bigger knob for that assembly. Final Thoughts: I find this to be the best saw I have seen to both cut fairly large rocks and still be used as a trim saw. My shop has limited space and this works perfectly for that use at a reasonable price. Finally I suggest using this saw with oil instead of a water/lubricant system.

Versatile saw

This is the second saw like this I have purchased. I'm very satisfied with the first one and that is why I bought a second.

Very Nice TrimSaw

The folks at Covington-Engineering were great in getting my order completed and done right for what I want. Everything came promptly just as ordered. The 10 inch trim saw came with perfect alignment and ready to use - just add the Rockhound oil. The power feed and rock vise are very easy to use to make great cuts in materials of different hardness. The hood is convenient and easy to work with. Thanks to the guys at Covington, I am cutting up well.
