3F/400 grit is a grit blend which means there is some variation in particle size. We like this variety because it tends to be more forgiving in the tumbling and lapping processes. As the coarser grits break down, the finer grits begin to work on the pieces. This produces a faster grind in the tumbler or flat lap. This item is manufactured in the United States.
